I’m a freshman at UNC and currently majoring in Media and Journalism with an interest in concentrating on advertisement and public relations path.

I’m an international student growing up in China, Guangzhou, though I was born in Australia Perth. The experience of living in China, and Australia makes me a proficient speaker of Cantonese, Chinese, and English, and have a good understanding of different cultures and how they interact and integrate.

I think the identity of Asians was always underrated and was ignored compared to other ethnicity. I wish I could carry forward Asian identity and culture and promote cultural confidence. I think to celebrate Asian culture, we need to build cultural confidence individually by embracing the inheritance we have. As a storyteller and content creator, I could make a huge difference by making more people learn about our stories and our values.
